Sony Whacks 10,000 Jobs To Meet Budget: Feeling the budgetary pains of a major worldwide restructuring Sony officials announced at the close of trading on the Tokyo stock market that 10,000 of its employees would be losing their jobs. Apparently Japan will suffer the largest job loss with 4,000 employees receiving pick slips. Sony is blaming the budget deficit on their late entry into the digital music market.
