I have a 6 year old Pentax camera this take better quality pictures than this. I had it for 3 weeks and thought it was my ability to use the camera that was in question. I have now realised with 2 phone calls to Kmart and follow up with Sony that it is just overall a poor camera. It takes ok pictures in bright sunlight with nothing moving around. Beaches etc are ok but try to capture the moment of a friend or a smile or any difficult lighting at all and it is just a dud. I do not recommend it at all.

Hi everyone,

I would recommend KODAK M340. It's the best among digital contenders. Price, sexiness, and picture perfect what could you ask for? I am happy with my baby.

Where did you purchase your S950? Was it a local store or online? With digital cameras it is hard to diagnose issues like you're having. I realize it's frustrating but many time people need to return the camera. (We've had to do it a couple of times ourselves.)

Let me know.

Hi, This is my first digital camera in my life. I believed in sony very much but the DSC - S950 made me to think abt sony brand. It is the worst camera that i have ever seen in the digital camera world. The camera image clarity is really poor. Paying Rs.9000/- for this camera is really useless. Please dont buy cameras from sony brand.
