Good Gear Guide – 6/20/2007 – reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S650 and writes, “Its 1.9 second shot-to-shot time and 2.6 second power up time were serviceable if a little behind other models, however the S650’s shutter lag was extremely disappointing, clocking in at .2 of a second. That’s more than double what we expected and will put a serious dampener on those trying to capture a quick snap.”
LapTop Mag – 6/26/2006 – reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S650 and writes, “On our tests, colors looked a bit flat, and most shots were oversaturated. A test photo of a colleague in the office was too dark. Outdoor shots looked better with the exposure more in line. The DSC-S650 can also record VGA video at 30 fps, with its footage on a par with the Nikon Coolpix L11.”
