TrustedReviews - 29 Fevruary’08 - reviews the Samsung L830 and cautions about the poor picture quality. Here’s a summary of their review -
“It’s cheap and does have a couple of neat features for a budget camera. However, in the end the image quality drags this cameras overall score down. It really does matter if it operates pretty well in most areas when your pictures look bad even a low price is not going to be enough to convince you to buy it. There are cameras that have a lot better quality pictures for about the same price.”

CNET - 15 December’07 - reviews the Samsung L830 and warns the camera produces noisy pictures. Here’s an excerpt from their review -
“The Samsung L830 offers a strange mix of photographer-friendly controls, middling performance, and disappointing picture quality. Its slow shooting and poor pictures at higher sensitivity settings seriously hurt the camera’s flexibility, but its generous set of manual exposure and color controls give you plenty of ways to tweak your low-ISO shots. Considering its scant price tag, the L830 offers a lot of camera for experienced, budget-minded photographers.”

Steves-Digicams - 26 November’07 - reviews the Samsung L830 and likes the fact that because of the USB cable used for charging the camera you can recharge this thing just about anywhere.. Here’s an excerpt from their review conclusion -
“The Samsung L830 is a good digicam with face detection technology, digital image stabilization and high ISO features, all combined into a very easy to use fully automatic design. With a price of around US$179 or less, this is a good deal for the quality and performance you will get.”
