“If you can stick to the lower ISO settings, and want a compact wide angled digital camera with some unique features such as an electronic “spirit level”, 1:1 aspect ratio photos, a 28mm wide angle lens, and lots of customizable functions then the R10 is to be recommended.”

“As is common on recent cameras the R10 has both face detection and vibration correction. It’s a 10-megapixel camera and picture quality was generally impressive. Although we found the colours perhaps a little washed out that will be down to personal taste.”

“There’s still one big problem with this camera which there’s no getting away from - noisy images. Sadly the R8 and now the R10, with their increased resolution of 10 megapixels, have both taken a clear backwards step, with noise and blurring of detail evident at the relatively slow speed of ISO 200.”
