1- My e420  always produces very dark (way too dark to use) with the flash.
2- Refuses to shoot pictures on manual when it cannot focus. Causes many missed shots when speed is important.
3- This is the same with both the original and the replacement camera.
Does not happen with my Nikon D300 (which is too heavy for one hand operation, the reason for the e420 ppurchase.&lt;/p&gt;
