I have always liked Nikon cameras. However, I have had a very difficult time getting my pictures to be focused. I had a friend who bought the same camera and has had the same problems. This camera was a huge disapointment to me.

Doug V, you said it correctly, FOCUS probs big time!!
Purchased at Blacks Camera in Ottawa, ONario and this camera SUCKS!
DO NOT waste your money on this little garbage camera that they wouldnt take back.
Yes, lens gets stuck half way as well. JUNK JUNK JUNK.

This camera has focus problems… especially in zoom mode.

Beware of Nixon coolpix L18 and L20 cameras. They have a lens problem that the lens gets stuck half way. Nikon won’t cover this problem under warranty. They always reply that I damaged the camera. How can a person damage a camera by turning it on. Consumer beware of these camera

I bought one because of PC Worlds review. The only complaint I have is the battery life. Should be better. Otherwise it is a great camera for the price. I don’t expect to get a lot of controls in an $89 camera but I do expect to get good photos. The L20 gives great photos and the video is outstanding even in low light for this price camera. I use rechargeable batteries so I just take a couple extras with me and it works out. If you are looking for great photos and outstanding video for under $100 then this is a great buy.
