Nikon Highlights Vibration Reduction
Nikon in an effort to draw more attention to its line of VR-Series lens has created a dedicated website. Vibration reduction corrects the blurriness which occurs when the photographer moves while the shutter is open.
Over the last year there has been a great deal of confusion around Image Stabilization. Financially inspired digital camera marketing departments have muddied the water by using terms like blur reduction and shake reduction which in reality were nothing more than ISO increases.
It makes sense for Nikon to create this new website to set the record straight and clearly identify the Nikon Vibration Reduction as a process that uses mechanics and optics to achieve stable images, not ISO pumping.
