Nikon Coolwalker Gets Even Cooler With Firmware Update Version 1.3: Nikon officials announced today they have released the firmware upgrade version 1.3 for the Coolwalker portable image viewer and storage device. According to company spokesmen the firmware upgrade fixes the following Coolwalker bugs.
A problem that occurred with images taken by the Nikon D2X, D2Hs (TIFF files) and the Coolpix 8800 and Coolpix 8400 (JPEG files); the images would not fill the whole screen in full-screen playback.
And a problem that prevented the display of JPEGs taken with the D50 at an image size setting of ‘S’ has also been corrected. There was also a problem for Mac users - the Coolwalker was not correctly recognized by computers running Mac OS X.

What has been changed?
When some pictures taken with the cameras noted below were viewed in full-screen playback, the image displayed in the monitor did not fill the entire screen. This problem has been corrected. - D2X, D2Hs: TIFF files - COOLPIX8800, COOLPIX8400: JPEG files recorded at an image-size setting of 8M, 5M or 3:2 and an image-quality setting of EXTRA A problem that prevented display of JPEG files recorded with the D50 at an image-size setting of S has been corrected.
