TrustedReviews – 05 October’07 – reviews the Nikon Coolpix L11 and indicated that although the L10 and L11 are similar the image quality of the L11 is better. Here’s their overall verdict;
“In light of its superior picture quality and higher resolution, and the fact that it is available for about the same price, the Nikon Coolpix L11 is significantly better value for money than the L10. In fact I have seldom seen such excellent value. If you’re looking for a nice simple compact, maybe as a holiday camera or as a gift for a child, it is got to be at the top of your shortlist.”
Imaging Resource tests the Nikon Coolpix L11 and writes that with this camera you get good performance with a rather long list of in camera image enhancements tools that are really practical. Another factor was the rather nice was the large in type Nikon used in the LCD menus.
Bottom Line: The reviewer thught the L11 was a little too “in between” the L10 and L12 and that either the L10 and L12 would probably be a better bang for the buck.

CNET – 7/25/2007 – reviews the Nikon Coolpix L11 and writes that it has quick performance and good images. The camera is a designed for the basic point-and-shoot photographer and will probably disappoint more advanced shooters. Since the camera lacks the ability to manually adjust the ISO so full blown noise test could not be performed. It performed well in various situations including outside under partly cloudy skies or inside under standard tungsten and fluorescent lights.
Bottom Line: Good basic camera but don’t expect much manual control.

ePhotozine – 7/2/2007 – has reviewed the Nikon Coolpix L11 and writes, “Some people like to take pictures and not have to worry about changing anything on the camera to make sure they get a good picture and if that’s you, then this is a decent camera to suit your requirements.
It has more than enough features to cope with whatever it will have thrown at it, so try not to expect too much and it will surprise you. The camera is a decent build and fairly laden with features for the price, but with the Canon and Olympus as competitiors, they both offer slightly more.”
Steve’s Digicams – 6/16/2007 – has reviewed the Nikon Coolpix L11 and writes, “Nikon has created a very nice 6-megapixel entry-level model. It’s compact, offers great image quality, good performance (the best in series thus far), as well as plenty of useful exposure settings to help you capture great photos. With an MSRP of US$149 or less, I feel the Nikon Coolpix L11 offers an outstanding value for a camera in this category; just be sure you get a set if NiMH batteries and a large SD card right away!”
LapTop Mag – 5/23/2007 – has reviewed the Nikon Coolpix L11 and writes, “Colors looked accurate, and the focus was sharp. There was a bit too much magenta in our tulip test photo, which actually made the flowers appear orange. Although the Coolpix L11 starts up in less than two seconds, it takes a tedious five to six seconds between shots.”
Good Gear Guide – 5/16/2007 – has reviewed the Nikon Coolpix L11 and writes, “The L11’s feature list is a little bare, but that’s to be expected from an entry level unit. The most notable absence is the ability to manually alter ISO sensitivity; a feature present on almost every compact camera these days. Aside from this absence most of the normal features are there, including auto and preset white balance modes, exposure compensation and a relatively slow burst mode (it operates at about 1.3 frames per second). There are also several scene configurations for the novice user, and Nikon’s new Face Detect technology, which hones in on human faces within pictures and makes them the focal point.”
