Minox Powers Into Digital Camera Market With New 8 Megapixel DC 8111: Officials at Minox today announced their new 8 Megapixel contender the DC 8111. A CCD image sensor with a resolution of 8.1 million pixels, built into the aluminum body combines with the fast multicoated MINOCTAR lens to produce according to Minox, quality digital images. Autofocus, a 3x optical and 5.1x digital zoom, automatic exposure and manual control round out the feature set. The large 2.5-inch color monitor uses LTPS-TFT technology.
