CNET
“Offers up a reasonably price-to-feature ratio, produces good, though occasionally overexposed, photos at ISO 200 and below, and offers uncomplicated operation. But while the 5x optical zoom is nice to have, performance is merely average for its class.”

DCResource reviews the Kodak Easyshare Z1085 IS and they write -
“All things considered, the EasyShare Z1085 is just an average camera. The best thing it has going for it is its value: a 5X zoom lens, image stabilization, and an HD movie mode, all for under $250. Unfortunately, it needs work in a lot of areas, which is why I think your money is better spent on another camera.”

GoodGearGuide reviews the Kodak Easyshare Z1085 IS and they write -
“The unit is just a fraction too chunky to slide comfortably into a pocket. It is built entirely from matte black plastic, and it is relatively solid feeling. Some of the controls are lacking in tactility, but the interface is one of the better ones we’ve used, giving quick intuitive access to most of the main functions of the camera.”

LapTopMag reviews the Kodak Easyshare Z1085 IS and they write -
“The Z1085 IS not only takes good pictures; it also makes photography fun. If you’re a novice, there’s nothing more delightful than pointing the camera and watching the scene mode change on its own. Even if you’re more advanced, you’ll still appreciate the brilliant colors, good image quality, and HD video recording. Before you buy, also consider the Nikon Coolpix S600 ($299): This 4X zoom camera offers lifelike colors and a simple interface, along with superior performance in fast-action settings. If you want a slightly bigger 5X zoom, and HD video is a priority, the EasyShare Z1085 IS is a solid choice.”

DigitalCameraReview has reviewed the Kodak Easyshare Z1085 IS and they write -
“As a concept, the Z1085 is interesting. Smart Capture and Perfect Touch aside, the camera isn’t loaded down with the scores of soft features that have become commonplace in this class of devices, making the Kodak look a little underspeced on paper. As a photographic tool, however, this streamlining is a welcomed change, making the Z1085 easy to navigate and easy to use. Beyond this, everything on the Z1085 feels intentional – this isn’t a cobbled together budget cam, but a generally well thought out device.
The newest EasyShare does a lot of things right. What unquestionably hurts it most is the fact that the few compromises that were made seem to directly impact what serious shooters look to first – image quality. All in all, this camera still deserves to be taken seriously, and if you like the truly excellent color reproduction that the Z1085 is capable of, its prospects look better and better. Heavy-handed sharpening and too much visible noise reduction across the board are the big hurdles, but if you can come to terms with these issues the EasyShare Z1085 IS brings a surprising helping of good stuff to the table.”

TrustedReviews has reviewed the Kodak Easyshare Z1085 IS and they write -
“With its relatively low price and 10-megapixel resolution the EasyShare Z1085 may look like a bargain, but as usual you get what you pay for. Build quality and design are reasonably good, the image stabilization system works well and the camera is certainly easy to use, but it has a limited range of features and its overall performance leaves a lot to be desired. Image quality too could be a lot better.”

Pocket-lint has reviewed the Kodak Easyshare Z1085 IS and they write -
“Overall we can’t help feeling a bit disappointed with the package delivered. It feels as though the numbers have been increased to offer people 10 megapixels and HD video but without rounding off the package. Yes, price needs to be considered, but with so many options on the market, this just isn’t a model we’d want to go for.”

ThinkCamera has reviewed the Kodak Easyshare Z1085 IS and they write -
“No camera is without its errors, but the Kodak EasyShare Z1085 IS has a bloody good bash at being an excellent entry level compact – and is successful for the most part. It’s got easy to use menus, an abundance of modes (including manual), a good zoom range, HD options and a decent image stabilisation sets all for 150 quid.
Fundamentally the only reason to look for a different compact at the price would be if you require a decent super-macro mode or a wider lens. The lack of rechargeable battery is understandable given the quality of the camera at the price, but it’s hard not to think that if Kodak popped a rechargeable battery in the box this compact would entirely dominate the competition.”
