According to a senior Eastman Kodak executive the company fully expects camera phones will become the dominant consumer photo-taking device. With that in mind none of us are going to be too shocked when the Kodak logo begins to show up on mobile phones. Speculation is that we’ll beginning to see the Kodak logo on cell phones not-too-distant future.
“The compact digital camera is a short-term phenomena; it’s going to be eclipsed by the camera phone,” Fred Seibl, general manager at Kodak GmbH in Stuttgart.”
Kodak has already established a strong footing by striking a deal with Motorola in January to collaborate in the area of mobile imaging.
