RegHardware
“The EasyShare M1093 IS is a budget camera with one or two surprising features, including HD movie recording. It’s smart, compact and produces pretty good pictures. However, Kodak has missed a trick when it comes to handling, and it seems that style rather than functionality was the main focus.”

“The Kodak EasyShare M1093 IS isn’t an extraordinary camera, but overall is very good at what it does and it looks good doing it.”

“Given that Kodak’s M1093 IS has an inexpensive price tag, most of our gripes can be forgiven, and, should you be looking for a beginner-friendly point-and-shoot, it certainly fits the bill.”

Steves Digicams
“The image quality from this model’s 10-megapixel fine setting was good for a camera in the sub $200 category. When shooting outdoors, I was able to capture some beautiful images with excellent exposure and vivid colors. The subject in the center of the frame is also nice and crisp, however there was a good amount of edge softness present along the left-hand side of the frame.”

Pocket-lint
“The Kodak M1093 IS offers good quality low ISO images that could stretch to a print size of 30 x 40-inches, at a push. It’s easy to use too and has good build quality. If you’re looking for a simple point and shoot that takes good quality (low ISO) images, then the M1093 IS could be the camera for you, though a spare battery might be advisable!”

“Ultimately, photo quality is the most important feature on a camera, and it is here where the EasyShare M1093 IS disappoints a bit. While exposure was generally accurate, I found the hyper-saturated colors to be a turn-off (though many folks may like it). Images are quite soft, due to heavy noise reduction and aggressive JPEG compression.”

GoodGearGuide
“Images had good resolution and detail but were hampered by excessive softness and high levels of chromatic aberration.”
Rating:

TechTree
“What The M1093 has going for it are the great looks, build quality and the ease of use but the image capture is just about average and you could easily find a better performance camera in the same price range.”
Rating:

ePhotozine
“It has a lot of features hidden away in the program mode and the camera doesn’t shout about them. Noise is an obvious concern but if you can get away without going over ISO200, you’re laughing. “

Trusted Reviews
“It is slim and fairly stylish, and can take a pretty good picture under most circumstances, but it is let down by a distinctly non-smart Smart Capture mode, weak flash and poor overall performance.”
Rating:

CNET.co.uk
“With its limited feature set, the M1093 focuses on snapshots. It’s a capable point-and-shoot with a responsive autofocus and fast snapping speeds.”

This camera puzzled us a great deal… It took decent snapshots with good saturation and exposure, but the file sizes and robustness of the image under editing were of great concern. Photos taken by the M1093IS @ the 10 MP setting showed file sizes on the average of 1.4 megabytes… By comparison, files shot with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5, also a 10 MP camera, showed file sizes typically over 3 megabytes… Why does this Kodak shoot files the same size or lower than a 5 MP camera?

I can’t seem to delete pictures from the camera.

Does someone have a how-to on this? The manual is vague and the camera itself is not intuitive.
