PCAdvisor – 17 December’07 – reviews the Kodak EasyShare M853 and really like the in camera photo stitching capability. Here is an excerpt from the review -

CNET Australia – 09 November’07 – reviews the Kodak EasyShare M853 and warns that when the light is not good beware, this camera does not do well. Here is an excerpt from the review -
“The Kodak M853 is simple and affordable, and takes pictures. There isn’t much else to say about it. While we recognise the value of budget compacts, it’s hard to like a camera this undistinguished.
Lackluster speed, terrible low-light performance and a lack of features far outweigh the simplicity and user-friendliness of the M853, making it a frustration to use.”
DCResource – 09 November’07 – reviews the Kodak EasyShare M853 and felt that even though it is an entry level camera that at best is mediocre. Here is an excerpt from the review -
“The EasyShare M853’s photo quality was not good. While exposure was good, purple fringing minimal, and color saturated (too much so, in my opinion), the M853 produced photos that were soft, lacking detail, and loaded with noise reduction artifacting (even at ISO 80). Vignetting (dark corners) was also noticeable in quite a few of my photos. Despite using both preflashes and a software removal tool, the M853 still produced flash photos with lots of redeye (which, to be fair, is common on compact cameras like this).”
