“The Kodak EasyShare C180 is about average for a current low-cost 3x zoom compact. It’s fairly well made, very easy to use and comfortable to handle, but it lacks many of the useful features of models costing not much more. However the very poor picture quality and non-existent low light performance are the real deciding factors. “

How to find out which way to insert the batteries into the Kodak C130 Easy Share -
like where is the Manual? NOT on the disk where it should be..
how about puttin + or _ onto the battery compartment? Too simple?
Very irritating and inefficient, but perhaps it is my mistake.
If someone knows, please advise. Thanks!
sorry, please correct previous comment – change Kodak C130 to Kodak C180

also make security codes easier to read so I do not get this message:
sorry wrong secutiry code (sic!)
this camera sucks i have it and it\’s very disappointing. It has malfunctions all the time. It sometimes closes by itself and than there\’s times when it doesn\’t want to open the shutter when you turn it on.
Haven’t had the the Kodak C180 long, as my husband uses it for work,
but we’ve both noticed the battery life doesn’t last long at all and like
Tiffany said on her review, at times it doesn’t want to open the shutter
when you turn it on, so not sure if it’s to do with the battery or what.
Anyone else have this problem?
I think the I have been taken, big time! I believed the hype on a tv shopping site. I ordered this crap with a printer that was billied being cost-effective.
My disgust lies with the C180 camera itself. I love my Kodak C653, and my 2 Canons, but this little
guy was a waste of my money. It eats the heck out of my batteries.
I have no problems with the other cameras and battery life.
This C180 reads low battery after I have put in fresh-charged ones. This is a pain in the glutes!
Is this camera only to be used with Kodak batteries? What a drag!
In reguards to battery life all rechargeable batteries have a 1.2 volt per battery as compared to 1.5 volts on a non rechargeable battery. On all batteries as current draw drains the battery the voltage starts to drop also. Voltage is the same as water pressure. Current or Amps is then amount of stored electricity or compared to water in a measuring cup. They all can have the same amount of stored Amps/current per battery but two rechargeable batteries can only deliver 2.4 volts / pressure to push the Amps/current stored in the battery. Two non rechargeable batteries have 3 volts / pressure to push the Amps/current stored in the battery. When the camera see\’s the voltage drop below a certent point it gives a low battery indication. Yet there is still stored Amps/current in the battery but not enough voltage/pressure to push the stored power through the camera. I suggest using lithium or Alkaline Batteries the more expensive batteries chemically have more stored Amps/current in them. As the stored Amps/current drops so does the voltage and that is what the camera looks at.
I am thinking about buying this camera for my daughters birthday. She is 13 so she wouldn’t be using it for much but Myspace photos. She want’s it because she doesn’t have one. Would you suggest it? Also about the batteries, if I buy rechargable batteries will it work? Thanks!
This Kodak EasyShare C180 is a peace of garbage and would NOT reccoment to anyone. After the first 3 months, the flash wouldn’t work. Kep t going off an on. The just yesterday the lense cap gets stuck and will not go back in. And now the ON/Off button doesn’t work and the piece of crap will not even turn on after we put new batteries in. You pay for what you get. Cheap is Cheap is Cheap.
idk anything about the batteries bcuz there perfectly fine 4 me
the problem i have is when i plug my c180 into my pc with vista a few things happen
1) the camera will go blank or wont turn on till disconnected
2) something will pop up in the bottom corner saying device not recognized and so on
3) nothing else happens at all
i have v8.2 easy share, and ive installed and uninstalled the software about 6 times and still it wont work
what in the heck is goin on with it!
my previous kodak worked well. Easy to use menu . when i first used this c180 the pictures wouln’t load on the memory card and hence wouldn’t dwn load to my pc album. Lost a lot of valuable pictures as it could not save. also no directions on the use of batteries.
