Beauty Function promises to be a very popular enhancement tool for retouching digital images. Or at least that’s what three Israeli computer scientists from Tel Aviv University are hoping. In an attempt to create better looking portraits the researchers program scans an image of your face, analyzes it and produces a slightly more beautiful you.
In order to produce a beauty formula the researchers asked over 300 men and women to rank peoples’ faces by varying degrees of beauty. Factors such as nose width, chin length and distance from eyes to ears were correlated into their program.
Over 250 measurement points were formulated then researchers developed an algorithm that applies elements of attractiveness, as an equation to a digital photo.
Note: Professional photographers would probably be first in line to purchase the “Beauty Function” program. They spend hours and hundreds of images to capture just the right expression. With Beauty Function they could capture just the right expression every single time. Wow!
