“The HP Photosmart M437 is a very appealing entry-level camera for the novice user looking for a Very simple to use camera. It captures nice photographs with decent performance marks for a camera in this class. With a 5MP image sensor, you will have no trouble capturing images that you can print up to 8×10-inches or larger, with no trouble.”
CNET - 7/3/2007 - reviews the HP Photosmart M537 digital camera and they write, “The HP Photosmart M437 is one of the least expensive cameras out there, but it’s also one of the least impressive. Its low resolution, poor performance, and disappointing image quality makes it a poor choice for all but the most frugal users.
For the HP Photosmart M437, “inexpensive” means the same thing as “cheap.”
GearDigest - 5/7/2007 - has reviewed the 5.0 megapixel HP Photosmart M537 entry level digital camera and they write, “The M427 is targeted at the novice photographer who really only wants a point and shoot camera with virtually no manual controls. It would be a good choice for a kid’s first camera. The Auto mode plus the eight additional shooting modes do an excellent job of producing acceptable results, but if you’re looking to digital photography as a hobby you can grow with, you may quickly outgrow this camera.”
