About.com - 7/15/2007 - has reviewed the General Electric A830 and writes, “General Electric’s foray into digital cameras has produced a digital camera that stands out in its $149 price range. It has a few nice features you don’t always see on budget cameras, like face detection and anti-shake. It’s easy to use, and ideal for a beginning photographer.”
Steve’s Digicams - 7/9/2006 - has reviewed the General Electric A830 and writes, “The GE A830 is a mixed bag. While offering some appealing features (8-megapixels, Face Detection AF, etc.) image quality was not that great, which is the most important aspect of a camera in my opinion. That said, with an MSRP of US$149, I feel the A830 offers an Ok value, but you’d be better off looking at some other models in this category, even if resolution is less (6 or 7-megapixels.)”
