I got this camera just yesterday. I'm no professional analyzer when it comes to thorough reviews of digicams. I wanted an ultra-slim alt. to my Finepix F31fd w/o the retractable lenses for a faster, simpler ways to take pix.

first off, this Z100fd model does NOT have the same sensor as the F30/F31fd/F40fd/F100fd have. so don't expect great preserves in image quality on ISO 400 and above. well-lit settings are otherwise good in detail. view examples via@Flickr (camera models).

pros: simple ergonomic(s) and sturdy-light elegant body, OIS, good image quality, fast focusing, metal tripod mount, 2.7 LCD screen.

cons: not as good as the Finepix F-series in terms of lowlight photography, no on/off so the slide cover acts as it's power; might accidentally turn it on depending on how you insert it in your pocket or something, slow shutter/start-up, metallic-build is an easy marker for smudge/scratch. only 1 Mode dial therefore it takes you forever to view/make adjustments on the camera's settings/features since they're mostly stuffed into one button.
