Digital Camera Shopper - 8/16/2006 - magazine (issue 35) reviewed the 6.3 megapixel FinePix V10 and here’s the verdict - “The V10 is undoubtedly a beautiful camera and there’s plenty to praise. However, its clunky menu navigation will frustrate those looking for more control. For the rest of us looking a stylish snapper, the V10 will entertain you in quiet moments and record your memories with efficiency when you’re ready to shoot.”

T3 - 8/7/2006 - has a new review of the 6.3 megapixel Fujifilm’s FinePix V10 and here’s the verdict - “Don’t underestimate this fun camera. It’s fast, has some great features and takes good snaps - a real gem.”
Macworld - 7/21/2006 - has a new review of the 6.3 megapixel Fujifilm’s FinePix V10 and rate it 2.5 out 5 - “The Fujifilm FinePix V10, shows good exposure accuracy but subpar sharpness and noise at high ISOs. Its big LCD and high ISO settings are nice, but battery life is limited and image quality is average.”
Zone Numerique, - 06/30/2006 - a French site (Google translated) has a new review of the 6.3 megapixel Fujifilm’s FinePix V10 and writes -
“The design is very successful since it is so small and it was difficult incorporating the large 3 inch screen, and yet it’s very comfortable. Obviously, the V10 is made to be used in automatic mode or in scene mode and having to fumble for the buttons and various adjustments will be rarer than with a more advanced model.”
Imaging Resource - 06/27/2006 - has a new review of the 6.3 megapixel Fujifilm’s FinePix V10 and writes -
“Under low light and more contrasty conditions, however, the Fujifilm V10 fared less well despite its vaunted “low-noise” high ISO settings of 800 and 1,600: a disappointment. Many of the shots I took at 800 and 1,600 were riddled with noise and chromatic aberration. Similarly, while I loved the concept of the “Natural Light & With Flash” mode which takes two shots in succession, under lower lighting, the Natural Light shots with boosted ISOs of 800 or 1,600 came out splotchy while the flash shots looked blown out. Under decent lighting though, the mode produced better results.”
Lets Go Digital - 06/20/2006 - has a new updated review of the 6.3 megapixel Fujifilm’s FinePix V10 and writes -
“All in all, the Fuji FinePix V10 leaves very little to be desired. It is simply a pleasant and user-friendly camera to work with, one that attaches particular value to ease and convenience, whilst producing fantastic images. What more could you possibly want?”
Cameras UK - 06/06/2006 - has posted a new review of the 6.3 megapixel Fujifilm’s FinePix V10 and here are the results -
“The Fuji Finepix V10 offers something different from other digital cameras. It is best suited to someone who looks on photography as fun and would like a camera for snaps shots at parties and on holiday. You can find better picture quality elsewhere, but if the special features of the camera are attractive to you then it is well worth considering.”
Digital Camera Review - 05/31/2006 - has posted a new review of the 6.3 megapixel Fujifilm’s FinePix V10 and here are the results -
“The Fujifilm FinePix V10 is a 21st century version of George Eastman’s 19th Century Kodak box camera, the world’s very first point & shoot. Like Eastman’s camera, the V10 was designed to be easy to use (just line up the image in the viewfinder and push the shutter button), capable of consistently capturing very good pictures in a variety of outdoor settings, and not too expensive. Like Eastman’s camera, the V10 makes it easy to capture those moments, people, and places that illustrate our life stories.”
Ephotozine - 05/24/2006 - has reviewed the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 and they were impressed with the V10’s ability to handle digital noise. They write - “The Fuji Finepix V10 is a love-it or hate-it camera. The unusual handling may be enough to put some people off on its own. Having said that the quality of the LCD screen is excellent, as is the quality of the images and it’s straight-forward and responsive to use as well.”
Steve’s Digicams - 05/20/2006 - has reviewed the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 and while their not fans of the super size LCD’s they are impressed with the V10’s LCD’s improved features. They write - “the V10’s 3-inch display is more than just another “size matters” marketing statement; Fuji has exploited its presence with improved features - a 30-thumbnail display, zoomed instant review, Post Shot Assist Window and “Natural Light & With Flash”. The camera’s 5-megapixel images are very good, and its 3.4x zoom more versatile than its competitors. Add to that usable sensitivity settings of ISO 800 and 1600, and Fuji has created a high-quality point-n-shoot that tackles a variety of shooting situations with ease. If you’re in the market for an easy to use compact camera and like large LCD’s, the Fuji V10 should be high on your list.”
PC World - 05/19/2006 - has reviewed the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 and rates it 69 out of 100. “In our lab tests, the V10’s overall score for image quality was about average. Most impressive was the V10’s exposure accuracy, but its images scored lower in sharpness than did most other point-and-shoots we’ve tested. In particular, images produced by the Fujifilm FinePix E900 were much sharper.”
CNET Asia’s - 05/19/2006 - Damian Koh has reviewed the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 and rates it a 6.8 out of 10. He goes on to write - “he FinePix V10 is a decent compact-sized shooter with a large LCD monitor once you scale the learning curve of the unit.”
DP Interface - 05/19/2006 - has reviewed the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 here’s what the their tests concluded. “So, the Fujifilm FinePix V10 has some built-in games on the huge 3 inch LCD for photographers to keep themselves busy when there are no photo opportunities. But other than that, it doesn’t impress me much as you would have expected from reading the last few paragraphs. I’d say the Sony T30 makes a good alternative but if you need manual controls and big zoom, then go for the Canon A700. Overall, the V10’s features are interesting but performance is not. If you still want to go Fujifilm, the might I suggest the F30 - It may have a smaller LCD and less zoom but it has much better noise characteristics and full manual controls.”
Computer Active 05/05/2006 - has reviewed the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 and here’s what the tests concluded. “For Fujifilm, its FinePix V10 is surely more an exercise in having a camera at every price point than being truly innovative. That said it’s fast, easy to use and takes decent pictures.”
Popular Photography -04/20/2006 - has finished a review of the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 and here’s what the tests concluded. “What’s Hot: Real Picture Technology handles challenging lighting situations well Video games are a fun diversion between photo ops Big LCD 40-shot burst mode
What’s Not: Bottom-aligned buttons on back of camera are tough to adjust when camera is on a tripod No live histogram display Slowish start-up time of 1.5 seconds”
PC World - 04/19/2006 - is not very impressed with the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 from a first look test drive.
CNET - 04/18/2006 - has reviewed the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 and they rate it a 7 out of 10. “A 3-inch LCD, serviceable high-ISO photos, and some fun features take a backseat to the Fujifilm FinePix V10’s merely average image quality and tiny controls.” The good: Usable high-ISO photos; solid performance; large 3-inch LCD.
DC Resource - 04/10/2006 - has a new review of the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 and here’s the verdict. “The FinePix V10 is best suited for folks who will be doing most of their shooting outdoors or in good light. The V10 doesn’t have the great high sensitivity performance of the FinePix F10, and doesn’t match its excellent low light capabilities. It’s not the best camera in its class, but the FinePix V10 is certainly worth a look.”
Digital Camera Info - 04/06/2006 - has tested the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 and here’s the conclusion. “The Fujifilm FinePix V10 is as easy or as involved as users want it to be. Well, maybe not as involved; its manual mode isn’t really manual. Still, if users want a simple shooting experience, they need only enter the auto mode. The Fuji V10 is easy to use in this mode, but if users want to switch modes and settings constantly, ease of use goes out the door. The menus are organized into non-intuitive numerical tabs and users may have to enter the menu system two or three times to change the desired settings.”
Pocket Lint -03/21/2006 - has posted a new review of the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 and they write. “The FinePix V10 offers a stylish and well-made compact digital camera to the masses with superb noise control and even better image quality.
Issues surrounding the compromised controls (due to the gaming functions) may be minor to some, more worrying to others, but at least they’re confined to the non-shooting controls.
In short, if superb image quality in a lightweight pocketable package is where you’re at, the V10 is where you should be.”
Lets Go Digital -02/08/2006 - has previewed the 5.1 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix V10 and they write. “The Fujifilm FinePix V10 is one very nicely designed digital camera. Its huge display offers enormous comfort when taking pictures or viewing your captured moments. It is just great to see the colourful images on such a big screen. Although there is almost no space left on the back of the camera for the necessary buttons I find the spot just below the monitor a perfectly chosen place.”

FinePix V10 Zoom: putting more fun into photography
Life’s full of fun and games with the FinePix V10 Zoom
Fujifilm today announces the launch of the FinePix V10 Zoom, a next-generation digital compact camera with distinctive looks and an extra dose of fun. Available in a stylish, two-tone design and with a distinctive body, the FinePix V10 Zoom features an enormous three inch LCD screen, whilst remaining remarkably small in size.
The three inch screen is designed to enhance the experience of shooting and viewing photos. With approximately 230,000 pixels, the high resolution LCD is perfect for instant framing during shooting and easy viewing of images during playback. A convenient zoom display has been added to confirm focus and image details as you shoot, by enlarging the centre of the focus position.
The FinePix V10 Zoom combines all this with lightning quick response times of just 0.01 second shutter lag and a 1.5 second start-up, making it an incredibly efficient, user-friendly device.
The camera boasts a 5.1 million pixel Super CCD HR sensor and 3.4x optical zoom (F2.8 - F5.5), equivalent to 38 - 130mm on a traditional camera. Crucially, it also includes Fujifilm’s Real Photo Technology, giving class-leading sensitivity of ISO 1600 for photography in low light conditions, and a low sensitivity setting of ISO 64 for ultra high-quality photography in bright daylight.
On a long journey, for example, you may find there’s nothing to photograph for a while: this is where the FinePix V10 Zoom comes alive in the form of some surprisingly addictive retro arcade-style games. These include a shooting game, blockbuster and a maze puzzle, which have been built into the camera itself. ‘Playability’ is enhanced by the layout of the camera’s controls, which are positioned in a manner similar to a portable gaming device for easy handling. Captured images can also be incorporated into the games, for a personal touch!
This sociable camera includes a 30-frame playback mode, similar to an alternative slide show, so groups of photos on the large screen can be shared with friends on the spot. For the first time with a FinePix camera, it also comes with a tutorial xD-Picture Card that conveniently demonstrates its range of functions.
A new shooting mode, ‘Natural Light & with Flash’, captures two images in quick succession, with and without flash so that the user can make an on-the-spot comparison of the images. This feature is perfect for awkward photographic conditions when it’s difficult to judge whether flash is needed or not. Super CCD Real Photo Technology is the key to enabling the camera to give you such a choice, even in low light conditions.

I have one of these, its a great point and shoot camera, and delivers sharp results, sometimes a little too over processed if u know what i mean, but other than that it’s a great little camera. The screen is amazing, even in daylight.
