Sigma announced the i18-50 mm F2.8 EX DC Macro lens. Designed specifically for digital SLR’s with APS sized sensors. The lens features aspherical and low dispersion elements with a maximum aperture of F2.8 through the zoom range and a minimum focus distance of 20 cm (7.9 in).

Sigma announced today the new 18-200 mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS lens. This digital only lens has a big 11x zoom range in combination with Sigma’s Optical Stabilizer. It also features aspherical and low dispersion elements as well as multi-layer coating to reduce flare and ghosting.

Looks like September 26, 2006 is the launch date. Details are sketchy but it appears the SD14 will integrate a new, higher resolution Foveon X3 image sensor.
