Ricoh has announced the 6 megapixel Ricoh Caplio R40. Features include:2.5-inch LCD (153,000 pixels), 5.7x optical zoom lens, skew correction function, eight scene modes, .007-second shutter release time lag, and three continuous shooting modes.

Ricoh has released firmware updates for the Caplio R3 and the GR Digital. The firmware update (version 1.09) for the GR Digital revises the exposure level when using Sigma external flashes (EF-500 DG Super and EF-500 DG ST). Ricoh are delighted to announce that Andy Earl, photographer within the international music business, will be doing a series of talks on the Ricoh stand, N2, at Focus on Imaging 2006. Earl has had a highly successful career in the music scene with over 120 record sleeves and thousands of portraits including ones of Madonna, Robbie Williams and Paul McCartney.
