Nikon Coolpix P4 Video Guide at Cameras.co.uk

Cameras.co.uk - 2/8/2007 - has a video guide of the 8.1 megapixel Nikon Coolpix P4 and they write, “Another feature you do not expect to see with this type of camera is bracketing. The Coolpix P4 offers two types of bracketing. The first is related to the exposure levels. The second is for white balance. When you use bracketing the camera will take three photos. You can then choose which one you think looks the best. I think the white balance bracketing could be very useful. It should help to make sure colours are as good as they can be and that there are no color castes creeping into your photos.”

Nikon Coolpix P4 Review at Cameras.co.uk

Cameras.co.uk - 10/5/2006 - has a review of the 8.1 megapixel Nikon Coolpix P4 and here’s the verdict - “The Nikon Coolpix P4 is a solid offering without really setting off any fireworks. It has plenty of megapixels, takes a good photo and is well built. In my tests it also does well in lowlight and minimises red eye.”

Nikon Coolpix P4 Review at Performance PC

Performance PC - 07/31/2006 - has a new review of the 8.1 megapixel Nikon Coolpix P4 and here’s the verdict - “I really had fun with the Continuous shooting mode, however, it takes the camera a while to write the images onto the memory card. This meant waiting 1-2 seconds before you can view the images, make changes to your settings and begin shooting again. I found the LCD screen too large, taking up more than half of the rear of the camera, it was almost impossible to not touch it.”

Nikon Coolpix P4 Review at Digital Trends

Digital Trends - 07/31/2006 - has a new review of the 8.1 megapixel Nikon Coolpix P4 and here’s their verdict - “Although the Coolpix P4 has its flaws - uneven focusing, noise at high ISOs and a funky control layout - you could do a lot worse for an 8MP primarily point-and-shoot digicam. Picture quality–for the most part–was quite good and you’d be pleased with the results. The P4 is not the fastest camera on the block so keep that in mind especially if shooting soccer or football games will be part of your repertoire. But you will get optical image stabilization, Nikon’s D-Lighting and a raft of Scene modes. This is not point-and-shoot paradise but the goal is in sight.”

Nikon Coolpix P4 Review at DP Interface

DP Interface - 06/18/2006 - has finished their review of the 8.1 megapixel Nikon Coolpix P4 and rate it 6.9 out of 10. They go on to write -

“The Nikon Coolpix P4 along with its WiFi-enabled sibling, the P3, are both for casual shooting and you’re at the camera’s mercy in action shots since both have slow performance. That’s probably one of the reasons Nikon included a time lapse shooting feature - the Coolpix P4 is not for action or low-light shooting! And for a last rambling, the P4 currently sells for the same price as the P3. I wouldn’t recommend the Nikon Coolpix P4 as there are other (better) cameras worth your time.”

“This 8-megapixel point-and-shoot digital camera is a nonwireless version of the Nikon Coolpix P3. With the exception of Wi-Fi capabilities, the two cameras are identical in design, image quality, performance, and features.”
