Fujifilm FinePix F470

Pocket-lint has reviewed the 6 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix F470 and writes - ” I started out on this test by stating the F470 is neither revolutionary nor dull, yes it has a great, svelte design and its attractive metal body is tough. Its price makes it an attractive proposition too and while it may lack some finesse at higher ISOs, in brighter conditions and for general subjects it is unlikely to let you down.” [click to continue...]

Imaging Resource has reviewed the 6 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix F470 and writes - “On the downside, the camera’s lowlight performance when shooting without a flash is lackluster, with the camera offering a disappointing and noisy ISO 400 at its highest light sensitivity setting. Though I prefer shooting in low light without a flash, the Fuji F470 I tested took some pretty decent photos with its flash engaged, avoiding overexposing the whites.” [click to continue...]

Digital Camera Review reviewed the 6 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix F470 and thinks it makes capturing striking photos dead simple -

“Like Fuji’s legendary Finepix 2600, the stylish little F470 is a very basic digital camera and an excellent choice for first time digital camera buyers who want a reasonably priced, genuinely uncomplicated, solidly built, and ultra-compact digital camera. The eminently pocketable little F470 performs like a champ in all outdoor settings, making it a natural choice for casual photographers, snap-shooters, and weight/space conscious backpackers, mountain bikers, and rucksack travelers. Chromatic aberration (purple fringing) and noise are a bit higher than average, macro/close-up and dim/low light performance leave something to be desired, and battery life is just decent, but the Spartan little F470 is a super picture taker.”

Bytesector reviewed of the 6 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix F470 and indicates its one of the slowest cameras they have looked at in the past year. They go on to write -

“From turning it on to the time you take the first shot, you will have to wait about 2 to 3 seconds. In addition to this, the shutter lag is just average, and focus time is fairly slow as well. Because of this, the camera proved to be unwieldy for action shots and close to useless if I had only a few seconds to turn on the camera and fire off a shot.”

Digital Camera Info has a new review on the 6 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix F470 where they write.

“Representing the more affordable portion of Fujifilm’s F-series, the roughly $279 FinePix F470 provides a 1/2.5-inch, 6 megapixel CCD and 3x optical zoom lens, along with a basic feature to point-and-shooters at an affordable price. The primarily automatic camera has an intuitive design and simple menu structures to accommodate beginner users. In testing, the F470 displayed reasonable, though not stellar, image quality, but was slow to operate and poorly constructed.”

Photoxels has a new review on the 6 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix F470 where they write.

“The Fujifilm FinePix F470 is ultra-compact, easy to carry in your jeans pocket or even a shirt pocket, looks stylishly elegant, with solid construction. Controls are on the small side so those with large hands and fingers should try it out before purchasing, but they are intuitive to use and operate. It’s a great take-anywhere digital camera for the point-and-shoot photographer in your family. For mostly sunny and bright conditions; must use flash in low-light.”
