“This is a very cool camera especially all it can do for a sub $250 price tag. Image quality and ease-of-use are second to the high-speed features, though. We feel that at best it’s an okay camera that cam capture situations that other cameras simply can’t.”

DigicamReview
“By reducing the resolution to 6 megapixels the FC100 can shoot at an amazing 30fps! It also lets you record videos at 210, 420 or 1000fps, letting you see things that you wouldn’t normally be able to see, although at a much lower resolution. If you want high speed photo shooting, or extremely high speed video then this is probably one the the cheapest cameras available with these features. The camera also provides good image quality, and is a fun camera to use.”

DigitalCameraInfo
“Its resolution performance was underwhelming, mostly due to low sharpness, and it doesn’t have very good color accuracy (on the plus side, image noise was quite low). The controls aren’t laid out well, given the size of the camera, and the menu system is frustrating. However, if you want the speed this camera can provide, at a relatively low price and slim form-factor, then you can probably look past those flaws.”
“If all you want is a decent compact with a 5x zoom, there are plenty of cheaper alternatives. But, if action photography is your bag, you’ll be amazed by what can be achieved with the Casio Exilim EX-FC100’s High-Speed Continuous Shutter technology. This is what you’re paying for in the end, so be aware of that before you buy.”

Steve’s Digicams
“The EX-FC100 is an impressive ultra-compact digicam. As with the other High-Speed cameras in this series, there are several great shooting modes for capturing burst shots and slow-motion movies that are not found on other digicams. To go along with these creative features, the EX-FC100 provides you with speedy standard shooting performance, and very good image and HD video quality. With a MSRP of US $349.99, this camera is well worth the money, especially if you have kids in sports or you are a fan of slow motion or HD video.”

Geek
“Ultimately people might buy the Casio EX-FC100 for the high-speed video, but then look past that and learn to appreciate its other functions much more. Shooting video at 1000fps is great, but when it comes to real-life situations the HD video recording and burst shooting (with shot selection) will be bigger differentiators.”
“I really like this camera and it’s such a shame that the noise reduction isn’t as good a version as it deserves. It’s great to have all the uber-fast features of the Casio speed series in a compact as I think it brings this amazing technology to more people. If this Casio can sort out the noise issues that the FC100 displays then it’s certainly a compact I’d consider investing in. However, that said I still really like it and it still scores highly.”
“It’s the high-speed shooting features that really set this camera apart. Whether the camera is right for you depends on the type of shooting you do. For shooting sports and other fast-moving activities, these features will allow you to capture very specific moments, assuming you can get close enough to frame a good shot.”
“Casio’s EX-FC100 digital camera is one of those models that excels in a few areas, primarily high-speed video and continuous-shot still imaging, which will make it a great camera for those needing those features. Few small, stylish cameras can match the high-speed capabilities of this Casio model, either with video or with still images.”
“This is a solid high-end point-and-shoot but with a couple of drawbacks. Macro mode is a pain to access, and this camera is on the heavy side, even though it has a generous 5X zoom. What makes the EX-FC100 a gem is its fast speeds, slow-motion video, and HD shooting, a unique combination of features you’ll get only from Casio.”
“Is it practical to pay a high price for what is essentially a point and shoot compact with merely good image quality, so you really need to ask yourself if you will make full use of all those high-speed shooting options. If the answer is yes, then the Casio EX-FC100 is clearly one of the best cameras around for capturing all of the action.”
“With the Casio Exilim EX-FC100, you do get a lot of fun and unique features. It’s the only camera we’ve seen so far that can shoot slow motion and 30-fps video and is small enough to fit in your pocket. But at $350, those features don’t come cheap.”
“All in all, it’s a cheaper way to get some slow motion in your life, and some of those other shooting tricks are original and unique enough to make the camera worth considering. But if you just want nice pictures, indoors and out, we wouldn’t exactly make fun of you if you said, “Oh, I think I’ll just go with the Canon instead.”
“The Exilim EX-FC100 is a unique camera, combining a well-made and nicely designed high-performance ultra-compact with HD video capability and some entertaining and potentially useful high-speed shooting and video recording functions. There’s no doubt that the 30fps continuous mode could be useful for action photography, but the HS video is a bit of a novelty gimmick with resolution too low to be genuinely useful. It’s also a very expensive camera.”
“I don’t want to come off sounding like a shill for Casio, but I have to be honest here. This is easily the most versatile camera on the market, and $350 is a price I’d pay myself for these capabilities. This camera carries the highest recommendation I can give (until its successor comes out), not only to regular picture takers who want a camera that does cool stuff, but also to serious photographers with DSLRs that want to have a pocket camera but don’t want to give up the ability to get that perfect shot.”
“Excessive fringing and various levels of noise, despite the fact that we shot at an ISO level of 80 anytime we had the control. The Exilim EX-FC100’s image quality varied, depending on the particular shooting environment. Dynamic range was not a huge issue, in fact we were impressed with the Exilim EX-FC100’s ability to balance shadows and highlights in most cases.”
Press

Press Release

Las Vegas, NV, January 8, 2009 — Casio America, Inc. and its parent company, Casio Computer Co., Ltd., released some exciting details about its upcoming digital camera models today. Soon to be released are the slim, compact High Speed EXILIM models EX-FS10 and EX-FC100 featuring high-speed burst shooting faster than an SLR camera, and the EXILIM models EX-Z400, EX-Z270, and EX-S12, which make the most of Casio’s high-speed image processing engine to enable users to cut and paste moving subjects onto still backgrounds.

Casio has been a pioneer in digital cameras for over ten years. The new models maintain Casio’s long tradition of innovation and creativity. In 1995, Casio introduced the QV-10, the world’s first consumer digital camera with an LCD monitor so users could view the images they had just taken. In 2002, the company released the EX-S1, a card-sized camera so thin that it could be carried anywhere. In 2008, Casio launched the highly anticipated EX-F1 and EX-FH20, boasting high-speed burst shooting capabilities to ensure that users would never miss a crucial moment again, not to mention the ability to record high-speed movies that capture motion too fast for the human eye to perceive.

Casio’s effective use of fast digital technologies to deliver unprecedented high-speed burst shooting and high-speed image processing of these new models has exceeded all expectations of what digital cameras should be able to accomplish. These stylish cameras are the first bold step in a major transformation of the traditional definition of the photograph, offering users entirely new ways of enjoying still and moving images.

High Speed EXILIM models EX-FS10 and EX-FC100
By reducing the size of the circuitry and the image sensor units, Casio has produced two very small cameras that offer a high-speed 30 shot-per-second burst rate and high-speed movies at a maximum of 1000 fps. The EX-FS10 is a card-sized camera just .64” thin, and the EX-FC100 is a compact camera that fits perfectly in the palm of the hand. These cameras also offer a number of other innovative functions including allowing the user to capture a still image while viewing the movement of their subject in slow motion and automatically selecting and saving one frame from continuous shots.

Casio has set up a special website that demonstrates many interesting ways to use the Dynamic Photo function. Following the release of the cameras, Casio will offer new services that expand the fun of the Dynamic Photo function

“Casio is dedicated to creating ‘out of the box’ features and new technology packed into our digital cameras,” said Bill Heuer, Vice President of Sales for Digital Imaging Division at Casio America, Inc. “We continue to be at the forefront of the digital camera market, providing new levels of convenience for the consumer taking photographs and shooting high-quality videos.”

The six new cameras will be available at retail in March. The EX-FS10, MSRP $349.99 will be available in blue, gray, red and white; the EX-FC100, MSRP $399.99 will be available in gray and white; the EX-Z400, MSRP $299.99, will be available in brown, gold and pink; the EX-Z270, MSRP $229.99, will be available in black, gray, gold and pink; the EX-S12, MSRP $249.99, will be available in silver, pink, green and black; and the EX-S5, MSRP $179.99 will be available in blue, black gold, silver, pink and purple.

”
Verdict: A practical compact camera, but the photo quality is middle of the road Good pointsLittle but with a big lens; long battery life; easy to use Bad points Photos looked digital; confusing quick-start manual; stabilizer is not completely effective at reducing camera blur”
“Overall the Casio EX-H10 is a solid performer – mainly due to its 24-240mm (10x optical zoom) lens and long lasting battery life. Beyond this it’s not particularly ground-breaking though and, considering the price point, isn’t necessarily going to have other competitors’ advanced products running scared.”
“Good points: Small but with a long lens; long battery life; easy to use – Bad points: Images had a noticeable digital look; confusing quick-start manual; stabiliser doesn’t completely kill camera shake blur”
“Casio’s compact cameras keep getting better and better. The EX-H10 is quite expensive, but it offers the kind of features and image quality that you’d expect for the price. Build quality is excellent, the camera is easy to use and has superb low-light performance. Shooting speed is a little slow though, and the auto white balance is a bit poor.”
“I like this little camera, it certainly seems to be pretty versatile and I’ve always been impressed with the set of features found on Casio compacts. Sure, it suffers from noise maybe a little bit too much and it’ll get marked down for that but other areas make up for it and if you use the flash properly, you should be able to avoid having to crank the ISO up.”
“Shots from the Casio are reasonably sharp and colorful for what is, at its heart, an entry-level snapper, and offer healthily warm flesh tones – which means that white skin is occasionally rendered closer to Tango orange. Also, images more noticeably have a digital look and feel straight out of the camera than certain competitors – occasionally looking like video “grabs”.”
“The Casio Exilim EX-H10’s emphasis on fun is clearly geared toward a younger crowd, or to a user base looking for a “beginner’s megazoom”. If it’s entertaining in-camera features you’re looking for, the EX-H10 should be at the top of your list.”
“The Casio Exilim EX-H10 is alright. The zoom range is good, the battery life is excellent and it’s slim enough to slide into a pocket. But there are other long-zoom compacts out there that are just as good or better. The EX-H10’s well-made, but the interface, gadgets, and weak movie and photo quality make it feel cheap.”
“Image quality for this 12.1 megapixel camera was very good in general with accurate color and good contrast. Digitally zoomed shots were the one disappointment, which is also not a surprise. Lens quality is rather good, with reasonable corner sharpness for the focal length range. You have to decide, though, if you want the 24mm wide angle or would rather have a longer telephoto on this 10x lens. We wouldn’t call that a disadvantage as much as a choice.”

PhotographyBlog
“Image quality is satisfactory rather than outstanding, with noise and loss of detail at relatively slow ISO speeds, limited maximum shutter speed of 4 seconds and a disappointing macro mode. This isn’t the camera to buy if you’re looking for the best ever image quality, but it does produce well-exposed and accurate photos that will please the majority of its target audience.”
“For nonprofessional photographers who want to take action shots frequently, the Casio Exilim EX-FH20 is a godsend that drastically reduces guesswork. For the photographer with established skills, the Exilim EX-FH20 can be a nice secondary camera, though such advanced users may desire more fine-tuning controls in the EX-FH20’s manual mode.”
“While the Exilim EX-FH20 is an attractively designed and well made camera with superb handling and outstanding performance. It has some almost unique features, and although the high-speed continuous shooting is great for action photography, the 1000fps video mode is little more than a novelty. Image noise is also a major problem.”
“Casio deserves credit for pulling off the high-speed shooting features on the Exilim EX-FH20 at its price. It really makes me look forward to testing the EX-FC100 and the EX-FS10. Unfortunately, the photo quality on the FH20 seems to have taken a back seat, and usability isn’t too great, either.”

Digital Camera Review
“Casio has really pulled ahead of the pack when it comes to high speed shooting with the FH20. This camera is like no other on the market (well, other than the Casio Exilim F1) and, in that regard, is a star. Unfortunately, as a high speed camera and as an ultrazoom, the FH20’s image quality – both still and video – isn’t great. But if capturing action is your thing, then you should definitely check out the FH20.”

LetsGoDigital
“Visible noise at relatively low ISO, loss of detail caused by the noise reduction of the camera, visible chromatic aberration, a limited dynamic range and an average performing zoom lens reduce the image quality of the Casio EXILIM EX-FH20.”

DCResource
“In conclusion, the Exilim EX-FH20 does a great job at continuous shooting and recording movies, but it lags well behind the competition in many areas, with photo quality being the most important. If you need the ultra high speed modes that the FH20 offers, then check it out. Otherwise, I think you can do better, and for a few hundred dollars less.”
“While it produces very pleasing images and offers some of the fastest burst speeds available, the EVF and AF system problems I encountered hinder my full recommendation of this camera.”

DigitalTrends
“If you can bring the EX-FH20 along on a photo trip and use it with your primary camera, you can rely on it as a good burst mode camera or for shooting slo-mo video and high-def movies. Otherwise, we’d be hard-pressed to use it as a primary camera because the bracketing settings are hard to find. It’s too expensive as a throw-away pocket digital, and doesn’t take the most awe-inspiring casual shots, especially indoors.”
“Pictures taken straight from the FH20 were evenly exposed, displaying colours that were well saturated and warm, although they softened when attempting to shoot handheld at maximum zoom. At its 40fps setting, particularly when shooting moving subjects, focus inevitably wandered.”
“I didn’t find the image stabilization or low-light features to be quite as good as I’ve seen with other cameras in this price range. Still, that’s not what makes the FH20 special. It’s the high-speed modes that really let you capture images that you won’t get with other cameras.”
“This isn’t a beginner’s camera and if all you are interested is doing is snapping a few vacation or party shots now and then, you should look elsewhere. The FH20 isn’t necessarily hard to use, but there is a lot more to it than pointing and shooting and if you don’t know when to use what function you will not only be failing to take advantage of the camera, you’ll probably miss your shot as well.”
“The functions on the new camera are more streamlined than its bulkier predecessor: missing are the dedicated shooting mode switch dial, the multi-use focus/zoom ring and separate buttons for video and still capture from the F1.”
“Photographically speaking, there’s nothing that exceptional about the Casio. However if you’re a YouTube junkie and as keen on video as you are shooting stills, and being able to capture slow motion footage as well as widescreen vistas floats your boat, then the Casio EXILIM Pro EX-FH20 is worth further investigation. Pity though that the optical zoom is disabled in video mode.”
“This camera delivers a couple of absolutely amazing features, but can only muster mediocre image quality, and comes with a stiff price tag. Deciding whether you should purchase it or not boils down to how useful you’ll find those features.”
“Looked at as a whole, the Casio Exilim EX-FS10 is a technical marvel on the one hand, while on the other, it would seem to be an overpriced mediocre ultra compact. Still image quality is not good enough; other makers’ similar models can produce better still image quality at a more affordable price; the movie and high speed systems, while clever and neat to have, just might not be worth the premium price.”
“Casio’s ultra-compact addition to the Exilim “F” series, the FS10 is an outstanding performer and is packed full of fun and useful features. It does however, lack a little in the image quality department, with softer images than we’d like to see. With a MSRP of US$349.99, you can get the same performance and better image quality with the Casio Exilim EX-FC100.”
“The Casio Exilim EX-FS20 is an interesting and technologically impressive camera with some almost unique abilities. It is well made, attractively designed and even handles reasonably well, but unless you have a pressing need for its high-speed abilities it is actually a fairly mediocre ultra-compact which is outclassed by cameras costing half as much.”
“This is a high price to pay for what is essentially a point and shoot compact with merely good image quality, so you really need to ask yourself if you will make full use of all those high-speed shooting options. If the answer is yes, then the Casio EX-FS10 is clearly one of the best cameras around for capturing all of the action.”
“If you’re just shooting casually, this camera will provide you with sufficient image quality and performance. But if you’re looking to catch the action, the 30 fps mode is impressive and works great, allowing you to slow down the action and always get the shot. With the combination of slow-mo video, HD video and extremely fast burst rate for stills, this camera is for the photographer who needs all this in one body.”

EXILIM models EX- Z400, EX-Z270, and EX-S12
Taking advantage of the high-speed image processing abilities of Casio’s state-of-the-art EXILIM Engine 4.0, which is built into these models, the new Dynamic Photo function allows the photographer to cut out the main subject of interest in an image that has just been captured and then combine it with another image to form the background. Users can also cut and paste several rapid-succession images to create a moving subject on a still background. This function makes it easy for users to create composite scenes from an image juxtaposition that exists only in virtual reality, or they can create a composite image that conveys a certain message. Casio technologies like these are creating whole new avenues of enjoyment that go far beyond mere picture-taking, delivering greater creative and viewing pleasure.

Casio has set up a special website (www.exilim.com/dp/) that demonstrates many interesting ways to use the Dynamic Photo function. Following the release of the cameras, Casio will offer new services that expand the fun of the Dynamic Photo function

Also to be released at this time is the EXILIM EX-S5 — a camera with a compact body based on a new design concept — which makes high-quality photographic functionality simpler to use than ever before.

“This camera ends up just a little short in three key areas: Its 3X optical zoom lens, its 2.7-inch LCD, and its MSRP of $249. With a larger zoom lens and LCD, the price would be justified. With a lower price, its smaller LCD and smaller zoom lens would be justified.”
“The Casio Exilim EX-S12 is about as small and light as an ultra-compact can get without being too fiddly to use, but nonetheless packs in an impressive list of features and an easy-to-use interface. Overall performance is a little slow, but the excellent autofocus and good low-light capability, combined with some fun options make this an ideal camera for social and holiday snaps.”

Casio has set up a special website that demonstrates many interesting ways to use the Dynamic Photo function. Following the release of the cameras, Casio will offer new services that expand the fun of the Dynamic Photo function

Also to be released at this time is the EXILIM EX-S5 — a camera with a compact body based on a new design concept — which makes high-quality photographic functionality simpler to use than ever before.

“So in summary, the Casio EX-Z1 is one of the better budget digicams on the market, hitting the right balance between style and substance. It might not be the most exciting cameras around, but it is a very well-balanced, easy to use model for all the family.”
“When everyone else is making 12x zoom travel cameras with HD video, the Casio Exilim EX-Z1 is something of a throwback. It’s a relatively unsophisticated camera, but it is at least well made and looks good. Unfortunately its poor handling, slow overall performance and lack of low light ability make the Z1 a poor choice for social snapshot photography. There are better cameras for less money, including several from Casio. “

These stylish cameras are the first bold step in a major transformation of the traditional definition of the photograph, offering users entirely new ways of enjoying still and moving images.

Newly developed EXILIM Engine 4.0 built in
Representing a significant upgrade from the EXILIM Engine 3.0, the EXILIM Engine 4.0 is a powerful electronic package comprised of an ordinary CPU and a high-speed dedicated image processing CPU. It delivers outstanding color reproduction and a rich tonal range that guarantees superior visual expression. Noise reduction at high-sensitivity levels also helps to produce high-quality, beautiful images. Even better, despite the new image combination functionality and other functions that entail complex processing, energy consumption is about 30% lower than before, which means longer battery life. The new engine successfully combines the pursuit of radical new functionality with improvements to many conventional camera features.

Dynamic Photo function, where the subject moves against a still background
Thanks to the high-speed image processing capability of the new engine, a moving subject can be cut out of a number of images that have been shot and combined with a different still shot that forms the background. A unique digital camera image where only the main subject in the photo is moving can be created using just the camera, with no editing on a computer.

Other functions that utilize the new image processing engine

Hand-held night photography (EX-Z400 and EX-Z270 only), and shooting in adverse lighting conditions
In cases where it can be difficult to get a good shot, such as with night scenes which tend to result in photo blur, or where backlighting can cause poor exposure of faces or the background, these cameras automatically analyze the situation and make the most appropriate settings. This means that all the user has to do is to press the shutter button to take beautiful pictures.

Tracking AF
Using the image analysis technology in the new engine, the ability of the auto focus function to automatically follow a moving subject has been refined. In addition to improvements to the accuracy of auto focus tracking, when a subject leaves the frame the camera makes a record of it, and when the same subject once again enters the frame it is recognized by the camera, and auto focusing is resumed.

Makeup function
In addition to recognizing faces and adjusting focus and exposure accordingly, these cameras can make adjustments to smooth skin in images and soften facial shadows caused by sunlight, creating beautiful photographs of people’s faces. The photographer can choose from one of twelve levels of skin beauty using different strengths of image processing, and can shoot after viewing the results in the LCD monitor.

HD Movie function
Just by pressing the dedicated movie button, these cameras will record beautiful HD movies at a size of 1280×720 pixels.

EXILIM EX-S5
A “Sleek & Sturdy” digital camera with a compact design

Design achieves a lightweight, yet durable image
Designed to fit the concept of “Sleek & Sturdy,” this camera has a compact form, measuring just 3.8” wide x 2.2” high x .7” thin. The edging that frames the body presents a light, casual feel, but at the same time gives the user the sense that this camera is tough and reliable. In addition, the camera color is not limited to a single hue. Rather, the control panel, frame, and rear casing boast contrasting colors, presenting a whole new idea in camera color schemes.

An effective 10.1-megapixel camera with a 3X optical zoom lens

In addition to offering the ability to reproduce a detailed image of the subject, this camera is very responsive and easy to operate. It has an effective 10.1-megapixel resolution, and delivers excellent performance. Images taken at high resolution can be enjoyed as beautiful photographs whether printed large or cropped before printing.

Easy-to-see 2.7-inch widescreen LCD
This camera features an easy-to-see widescreen 2.7-inch LCD monitor. Shooting information is shown in an “operating panel” on the right hand side of the screen, which makes it easy to quickly change camera settings while shooting.

Fun widescreen movie recording
Just by pressing the movie button, widescreen movies can be recorded with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The camera also offers YouTube Capture Mode, which records and saves movies at the ideal settings for the world’s largest video sharing site, YouTube. Recorded video can be easily uploaded to YouTube using the special included computer software.

Customizable focusing frames and menu screens

Focus frames
As well as the rectangular focusing frame usually displayed on the LCD monitor, users can choose designs such as a heart or a butterfly for the frame design. When the camera is correctly focused, a beautiful heart can be displayed, and when correct focus is not achieved the heart pattern breaks up. This makes it easy to ensure correct focus, and it is fun, too.

Menu screens
Menu screens can be freely selected from a total of six colors — black, chocolate, cinnamon, rose, sky blue and olive green.

“It’s no accident that Casio has won multiple awards for its EX-F1. Too bad, then, that this inventive superzoom is merely mediocre in many other ways. The unique high-speed capture of action, for example, is hampered by the slow and imprecise zoom.”
“Despite all these great features, the EX-F1 is admittedly a flawed speed demon. First off, it’s heavy and the large awkward lens makes it less than ideal for toting around on sporting events or Bigfoot excursions. Secondly, there are a handful of missing elements that probably keep the F1 from being considered a truly professional-grade camera.”
“All things considered, it’s hard not to be impressed by the EX-F1. The highest-speed modes might be of limited use, but it’s rare to find a camera that can grab 60 photos per second, let alone one that can also produce usable high-definition video complete with sound.”
“The camera might offer a fast capture speed and a long zoom, but the EX-F1 offers little else as a practical camera for daily use. We were surprised by the sluggishness of the start-up (around 4 seconds) and the time it takes to process those images for you to view back.”
“We also found the still image quality to be below what we’d expect from a camera at this price. “This is usually an easy section to assess, but this camera is so unprecedented that how much is worth is very much in the eye of the beholder. We got tired of the slow-mo movie feature quickly – you might find shooting Mentos hitting Diet Coke in exquisite detail endlessly fascinating. The standard-definition movie mode is better than some cameras we’ve tested, but nothing exceptional, and certainly doesn’t compare to what you’d shoot with a dedicated camcorder.”
“The many setting possibilities, the large optical range including the remarkable speed and video performances should in theory guarantee a powerful combination that successfully claims a new segment. “The Casio EX-F1 is unlike any camera you’ve seen. It’s impressive—often addictive—but it’s not for everyone. Photography purists are better off with a DSLR, and people less prone to shooting fast-moving subjects can get away with buying a point-and-shoot for a third of the price. But DSLRs can’t shoot video of any kind, let alone full HD and slow motion, and no point-and-shoot can match the EX-F1’s rate of 60 shots per second.”
Priced at about $1,000, it looks like nothing more than a typical superzoom digicam, and with a 6MP sensor a digicam that appears uncompetitive compared to today’s 10 – 12MP offerings in this market segment.”
“The high burst rate will make most photographers lust for this new camera. For the person who does not want to lug around a digital camera and a camcorder the Pro EX-F1 just might be the perfect choice. Because of the 12x zoom and high definition movie capture the camera will appeal to a wide range of consumers. It’s clear Casio did not cut corners with this camera, it comes stock with a surprisingly sturdy body, flash hot shoe, and an external microphone. “The world of high speed digital cameras and frames per second capture has just been shaken with the introduction of the Pro EX-F1. One area of concern is that with such a high capture rate it would be way too easy to burn through your memory card. Luckily Casio’s design allows you to dial down the burst mode via a ring on the lens barrel. And believe it or not the flash was able to keep up with the burst mode. Looks like parents with quick moving youngsters have found a new tool to capture just the right moment.”

Press Release Excerpt

Casio today introduces the new EXILIM Pro EX-F1, which incorporates a new high speed CMOS sensor and high speed LSI processor. After building in 6.0 million effective pixels and a 12X optical zoom, the developers focused on achieving a burst shooting speed capability that was hitherto unheard of. Using the camera’s ultra-high speed burst shooting for still images or its high speed movie recording mode, users can capture a split second’s movement with greater detail than before, allowing them to catch each decisive moment, and even motion that the human eye cannot ordinarily perceive.
