Casio Exilim EX-Z60 Review At PhotographyBlog

PhotographyBlog - 8/21/2006 - reviews the 6 megapixel Casio Exilim EX-Z60 and writes - “The Casio Exilim EX-Z60 is a promising point and shoot camera that ultimately doesn’t live up to its full potential, thanks largely to its poor image quality. The EX-Z60, as with most Casio cameras that we’ve reviewed, is very well-built, easy to use, stylish and quick. On the other hand, the 6 megapixel, 1/2.5 inch sensor produces images that look good at first glance, but which upon closer inspection suffer from obvious noise at ISO 200 and faster, purple fringing in many shots, including situations where you wouldn’t really expect to find it, and almost completely ineffective anti-shake and high-sensitivity modes. This is doubly frustrating because the Casio EX-Z60 is one of those rare digital cameras that just lets you get on with taking pictures without getting in the way. In short, I thoroughly enjoyed using the EX-Z60, but didn’t like the images that it produced, except those taken in near-perfect lighting conditions.”
