InfoSync
“Casio tacked a 2.6″ wide LCD screen on the back, but the resolution is subpar – what do you expect on an entry-level compact zoom? The main issue we have with the LCD screen is that images appear brighter and less saturated than they actually capture.”

LapTopMag has reviewed the Casio Exilim EX-Z9 and writes -
“The Casio EX-Z9 is a quality on-the-go camera that can capture crisp pictures and videos. The similarly priced Nikon Coolpix L18 is faster, but we prefer this budget digicam because it provides more shooting options and has a sleeker design.”

Rating: ½½½½½
PCMag has reviewed the Casio Exilim EX-Z9 and writes -
“The EX-Z9 is an easy-to-use, entry-level shooter that takes terrific daylight shots and continues Casio’s tradition of quality video recording in digital cameras.

Pros: Slim, ultracompact. Great video capture. Excellent daylight still shots. Easy-to-use “Best Shot” automatic mode.

Cons: Overexposed flash shots. No dedicated mode dial. Tiny on/off button. Shutter can be difficult to press all the way down.”

Rating: ½½½½½

Actual Owner Feedback

“I LOVE THIS CAMERA!!! It’s pink, and it takes pictures! I wish I had gotten it a long time ago. It is slim, and the pictures are of a good quality.”

“Only thing is that the battery won’t stay charged and the camera freezes when you go to record a video. Not the sellers fault just a bad job by the company.”
Portion of user comment on Amazon.com

“This is excellent starter camera. gave it 3 stars instead of 5 because it doesn’t have a dock in which to place the camera for download and recharge.”

“I have taken a few pictures of my brothers dogs and did get some red eye; I may have had too much light; I did not have this problem when taking pictures of my family members.”
Portion of user comment on Amazon.com

“The most wonderful feature of this camera is its almost-total absence of that horrible lag time between the push of the shutter release and the actual taking of the photo!”

I have a SONY DSC-V1. I got this camera as a gift and the video is WAY better than my sony’s. The menu is easy to navigate and you can find the features quickly. Small, slick, nice video mode and I got it as a gift. What else can I ask for.

I just bought this camera a few days ago. It takes horrible indoor photos. Very dissatisfied!
