The camera is good for taking photos, but for HD videos its not that great. You can get much better cameras with more features as the same price. Seems like canon has launched this camera without really doing proper homework from their side. HD video, but no optical zoom during video recording is disgusting. All other brands are giving this facility, dunno why canon chose to disable it. I am still trying to figure out if there is a way to enable it, sx1 has got it. Another big disappointment is the monochrome voice recording. All other brands in this category and price range offer stereo recording. How canon failed to deliver it. Another major thing missing is the panaromic photos, which I find in other brands and is missing in this camera in canon. What a disappointment at such a price.
