CNET.co.uk has reviewed the Canon PowerShot SD770 IS | IXUS 85 IS and they write -
“On second thought, maybe you should be afraid of showing this Canon to your parents. It epitomises just the kind of affordable, easy-to-use luxury that tempts customers into spending a little more to get a quality product. The IXUS 85 says just what it says on the tin with the assurance of good build and longevity.”

DigitalCameraReview has reviewed the Canon PowerShot SD770 IS | IXUS 85 IS and they write -
“Image quality here won’t knock your socks off: a slightly weak lens, typical Canon compact processing, and so-so noise performance combined with a lack of manual controls mean most aspiring art photographers won’t find the image quality or the creative control they’re seeking here. For doing what it does best, though – grabbing quick, informal captures of friends and family in decent light – the SD770 is quite good, and brings a clean, refined approach that will easily win over casual shutterbugs who find many digicams intimidating.”

CNET Australia has reviewed the Canon PowerShot SD770 IS | IXUS 85 IS and they write -
“The IXUS 85 IS is a slim, stylish camera which offers great image quality and a decent feature set but fails to stand out from the crowd. If you really need the 10-megapixel resolution, it’s a good choice but we’d be willing to sacrifice a couple of megapixels in lieu of the colour choices and AU$50 price drop the IXUS 80 IS offers. And if you already own an IXUS 70 or 75, we don’t see the need to upgrade just yet.”

CNET Asia has reviewed the Canon PowerShot SD770 IS | IXUS 85 IS and they write -
“The good: Optical image stabilizer, good image quality, optical viewfinder.
The bad: 2.5-inch LCD, faux Manual mode.
The bottom line: Despite its shortcomings, the Canon Digital IXUS 85 IS still packs features that define it as a worthy shooter in the IXUS lineup.”

Cameras.co.uk has reviewed the Canon PowerShot SD770 IS | IXUS 85 IS and they write -
“This is one of the very best pocket sized cameras on the market. Picture quality is excellent and the camera also has an attractive design. You will also find one or two extra features over and above those offered by other pocket cameras.”

StevesDigicams has reviewed the Canon PowerShot SD770 IS | IXUS 85 IS and they write -
“The Canon Powershot SD770 IS Digital ELPH is everything that you would expect from this line, especially if you have had any experience with them before. It is incredibly simple to use with the full auto and pre-programmed scene modes, and the combination of style and performance make this an excellent ultra-compact 10-megapixel digicam. With a MSRP of US$299, this is a great deal.”

Pocket-lint has reviewed the Canon PowerShot SD770 IS | IXUS 85 IS and they write -
“We rated the IXUS 80 highly for its impressive results and ease-of-use, but we feel that something special has been lost in the 85. On performance alone, we don’t feel that the camera is any worse for the additional 2 megapixels, and at the same time, they don’t bring that much extra to the party.”

TrustedReviews has reviewed the Canon PowerShot SD770 IS | IXUS 85 IS and they write -
“While there’s no disputing that the Canon IXUS 85 IS is a superbly well-made camera, and is light, compact and easy to use, there’s also no denying that it is very expensive and doesn’t offer a lot of features for the money. While performance is well up to Canon’s usual standard, image quality is let down by wide-angle lens distortion, corner blurring and high-ISO noise problems. If I was spending over £200 on a compact camera I’d expect a bit more than this.”
