CNET.co.uk - 17 September’07 - reviews the Canon PowerShot SD750 (IXUS 75) and writes;
“It’s hard to dislike the IXUS 75, despite its paucity of features. The excellent picture quality, big screen and smart styling easily cancel any misgivings about the otherwise average megapixel and zoom specs.

Superior pictures, screen and styling make up for a lack of features”

Digital Camera Info reviews the Canon PowerShot SD750 (IXUS 75) and feels the camera is feature wise like pretty much every other digital camera on the market except for the rather large LCD. The reviewer noted the camera produces nearly perfect color reproduction and it even held its own in low light situations. About the only thing that would impact the image quality was jacking up the ISO.

Bottom Line: Great little camera but the reviewer felt he would not pay the price when its similarly priced competitors offered more features.

Photography Blog reviews the Canon PowerShot SD750 (IXUS 75) and concludes this is a slim small camera that works great. One of the outstanding features of this camera is how it feels in your hands, there’s no question that you’re holding a quality unit. The large 3 inch LCD really helps to make this camera an appealing proposition. However, to fit the large LCD Canon had to sacrifice the optical viewfinder which may put some people off.

Bottom Line: Small easy operating camera but the reviewer suggest stay away from ISO 400 and above due to digital noise. It offers full manual control but sadly its image quality is not the best for its price range.

Trusted Reviews - 7/9/2007 - reviews the Canon PowerShot (IXUS 75) SD750 and writes, “The verdict is virtually the same as for the IXUS 65. The Canon IXUS 75 had the potential to be the best pocket compact on the market, with ultra-quick performance, attractive styling and excellent optical quality, but image quality problems including lack of detail, compression artifacts and image noise are big handicaps, especially considering its high price compared to other similar cameras.”

Good Gear Guide - 7/01/2007 - reviews the Canon PowerShot (IXUS 75) SD750 and writes, “Despite having a big screen, the IXUS 75 is a tiny camera. Measuring just 91.6mm x 19.6mm x 56.8mm and weighing 130g, it is the ideal device to throw in your bag or pocket and take out with you. Those after an all purpose compact camera will love how portable and convenient the design is.”

Imaging Resource - 6/21/2007 - reviews the Canon PowerShot (IXUS 75) SD750 and writes, “The Canon PowerShot SD750 Digital ELPH is one of the prettiest cameras I’ve had the pleasure to review. And it was indeed a pleasure. The Canon SD750’s fast startup and shutdown times never got in the way, and the responsive shutter made me forget all about shutter lag. I even had some fun shooting with the Canon SD750’s Digital Macro mode, and more fun shooting a tank of fish using Aquarium Scene mode.”

ePhotozine - 6/13/2007 - reviews the Canon PowerShot (IXUS 75) SD750 and they write, “The IXUS 75 scores well on all accounts. It is stylishly designed, well-built, and performed well in all of the ePHOTOzine tests. It boasts an array of additional features including various scene modes, automatic face detection, DIGIC III technology and the added benefit of iSAPS. ISO modes range from 80 to 1600, macro modes focus from as close as 3cm and the LCD is exceptionally large making for ease of menu access and playback function. Also the burst mode capabilities were highly impressive - the only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the lack of Red-Eye reduction functions.”

Steve’s Digicams - 5/7/2007 - has reviewed the 7.1 megapixel Canon PowerShot (IXUS 75) SD750 and they write, “Canon has added another appealing Digital ELPH model to its “ultra-compact” model line. With a street price of US$299 or less, I feel the Canon Powershot SD750 offers a great value for a rugged, 7- megapixel “ultra-compact” digicam. It is easy to use, has great speed, and except for a little noise on higher ISOs, takes excellent photos and surprisingly, allows for some very creative movies.”

Cameras.co.uk - 4/25/2007 - has reviewed the 7.1 megapixel Canon PowerShot (IXUS 75) SD750 and they write, “The Canon IXUS 75 is simply the best pocket sized digital camera I have tested recently. It did well in just about every test I put it through. I was impressed with my test results in lowlight as well as outdoors. Add in the 3 inch screen and you have an excellent camera.”

CNET - 4/5/2007 - has reviewed the 7.1 megapixel Canon PowerShot (IXUS 75) SD750 and they write, “It lacks the image stabilization of the SD800 IS and the tiny appeal of the SD1000, but the Canon PowerShot SD750 has a more elegant, cutting-edge design, large LCD and–to my eyes, at least–better photo quality.”

PhotoReview 3/15/2007 - has analyzed the 7.1 megapixel Canon (IXUS 75) SD750 and writes, “Overall shooting performance was typical of most small-sensor digicams. Shots taken outdoors were bright with elevated saturation and contrast. Exposures were pitched towards recording shadow detail so highlights were frequently blocked up. A warmish colour cast was attractive but at the cost of colour-accuracy and this was borne out by Imatest testing, which showed slight colour shifts in reds and yellows and boosted saturation for most hues. Interestingly, colour accuracy was at its best at ISO 1600, where image noise made shots almost unusable.”
