Canon Bug Erases All Images On DSLRs

May 25, 2005

Canon Bug Erases All Images On DSLRs: Canon acknowledged that because of a bug in the EOS-1Ds Mark II and EOS-1D Mark II under “certain circumstances” causes the camera to hang and all images erased. If you shoot in JPEG+RAW mode and hit the Display button immediately after shooting, the display goes white, the camera locks up and you lose all images in the buffer. Canon acknowledged the problem with their digital cameras firmware and indicated it is working on a upgrade; in the meantime, make sure the card-access light is off before you hit Display.
