Ever go out shopping for batteries for digital camera? Of course you have. Ever wonder if the new generation of batteries that promise extra power actrually deliver? Of course you have.
Wonder no more.
PC Magazine’s Troy Dreir has done a real world test on seven batteries and shows us which ones will provide your digital camera with the kind of power that will bring a smile to your face. Troy took a Kodak EasyShare C360 and loaded it with different batteries and literally shot till there was nothing left.
His results are VERY interesting. Energizer e Lithium - 2,675 shots - Wow! Panasonic Oxyride - 989 shots Duracell Ultra - 522 shots RadioShack Enercell - 374 shots Duracell Coppertop - 327 shots Energizer Max - 309 shots IKEA - 209 shots Note: The Energizer e Lithium deliver only 1.3 volts, which causes noticeably slower refresh rates. Could be a real hassle if you need to shoot quickly. On the other hand if you’re not, these things can last forever.
