A Quarter of Top 200 UK Photographic Businesses Facing Collapse
Updated - Monday, 31st July 2006
The British Journal Of Photography has published an overview of a recent survey conducted by the research firm Plimsoll. Study results indicated that 23% of the photographic companies are at ‘high financial risk’.
Plimsoll analyst David Pattison commented: ‘The message (to the endangered firms) is change or risk failure … job losses and cost-cutting are essential measures if these companies are to survive.’
But the report is not all doom and gloom: Plimsoll reports that the fiscal performance of more than half of the companies surveyed is ‘good’ or ’strong’.
