Olympus Stylus 1000 Video Guide at Cameras.co.uk

Cameras.co.uk - 1/31/2007 - has a video guide to the 10 megapixel Olympus Stylus 1000 digital camera and they write, “On the whole the camera is easy enough to use. I find the menu system a bit messy as it is divided into a number of smaller sections. I think it is easier when everything is in one place and it is just a case of scrolling through to find the item you need to change. Even so it should not be too hard to find what you are looking for.”

Nikon Coolpix S9 Video Guide at Cameras.co.uk

Cameras.co.uk - 1/31/2007 - has a video guide to the 6 megapixel Nikon Coolpix S6 and writes, “A few features that are not found on that many other digital cameras are D lighting, time lapse movies and a best shot selector. Using D lighting brightens a picture after it has been taken. This can help to rescue photos that are underexposed and too dark. Time lapse movies work by the camera taking a photo at the end of an allotted time delay. Typical uses are to show clouds moving a cross the sky or a flower opening. The best shot selector will select what the camera considers to be the best photo from a set of photos you have taken. The selection criteria are based on points such as sharpness and brightness.”

Fujifilm FinePix F30 Review at DenGuru

DenGuru - 1/31/2007 - reviews the 6 megapixel Fujifilm FinePix F30 and writes - “The F30 produces photos with very good color, dynamic range and sharpness that print beautifully without any computer-based manipulation on 6 x 4 color printers such as Epson’s PrintMate 240. I am impressed with the layout of controls on the camera. Everything falls neatly under my rather large fingers and I learned the controls very quickly.

Downsides of the F30 include the somewhat less than standard xD card, lack of a viewfinder, slow startup and very occasional purple fringing around such things as distant leaves on a tree. I’ve seen the latter problem in maybe 3 out of the roughly 1,000 pictures I’ve taken.”
