DP Expert - 05/31/2006 - has reviewed the 5 megapixel Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 and here are the test results -
“The Panasonic DMC-TZ1 is a good camera that boasts of more than it can deliver. The lens, image stabilisation and usability are very good and the zoom range is a marvel in such a compact body. In real life ISO200 must be regarded as its top speed.”

Imaging Resource - 05/31/2006 - has published a review of the 6 megapixel Canon PowerShot A700 and here are their findings -
“I had no real quibbles with the Canon A700 (apart from the double-manual system), and lots of pleasant surprises. In the end what I most loved about this AA battery-based gem was the 6x zoom and manual control of exposure with an unusually easy to find and use EV adjustment setting.”

Popular Photography - 05/31/2006 - has just released their review of the 6 megapixel the Lumix DMC-FX01 and they write.
“While still maintaining the same compact body size as past models, one major difference is that the DMC-FX01 incorporates a 28mm wide-angle 3.6x optical zoom Leica DC lens. This allows for wider shots, whether you are shooting group table shots at a wedding, wide mountainous landscapes or massive architectural structures.”

DC Resource - 05/31/2006 - had finished their review of the 6 megapixel HP Photosmart R727 and thinks the design folks at HP should have spent a little more time on image quality -
Camera performance was very good. The R727 starts up quickly, focuses without much of a wait, and shot-to-shot delays are minimal (usually). There’s a bit of shutter lag when shutter speeds are slow, and I wasn’t thrilled with the low light focusing ability of the camera, either. The continuous shooting mode fires off four photos at 2.4 frames/second, but the LCD is dark the entire time, making it hard to track a moving subject. Battery life was above average.
